What decking materials do you work with?
Merbau hardwood and composite decking (such as Modwood) are the two most common choices. Hardwood offers a natural timber look and can be oiled or stained; composite decking needs less ongoing maintenance and holds up well to coastal weather. We'll recommend the right fit based on your site and budget.
How long does a deck build take?
A standard single-level deck typically takes a few days to a week depending on size and ground conditions. Multi-level or elevated decks take longer. We give a firm timeline as part of the on-site quote.
Do you handle council approvals for decking?
Many decks fall under exempt development depending on height and location, but some - particularly elevated decks or those near boundaries - need a permit. We'll flag this during the initial site visit so there are no surprises.
